Entre Planos Bedroom

Between Planes is born from the idea of layers — a room that responds to a new phase: the transition into adolescence, the first stage of youth.
entre planos (loc. masc.):
1. an intermediate space where different surfaces meet and interconnect.
2. a subtle interval that organizes the gaze and lends depth to the act of dwelling.

Entre Planos It is an interior design project that explores the relationship between surfaces, volumes, and depth, creating a bedroom where each element is arranged through a clear and quiet logic.

The space is shaped through the layering of planes — vertical and horizontal — that organize different functions without resorting to fragmentation. The sleeping area, the personal care corner, and the study space emerge as natural extensions of one another, defined by subtle transitions and precise alignments.

Materiality reinforces this reading: light woods and neutral tones establish a continuous base, while integrated lighting accentuates the depth and rhythm of the elements. The vertical planes, present in the headboard and the storage system, create cadence and orientation, giving the space a sense of order and permanence.

The furniture, with its simple design and balanced proportions, integrates seamlessly into the architecture, avoiding excess and emphasising what is essential. Each piece occupies its place with intention, contributing to a cohesive and functional composition.

Integrated discreetly, there is also a space dedicated to the companion animal (a Shih Tzu) — a low plane beside the bed that extends the resting area and reinforces the idea of sharing, without interfering with the overall reading of the space.

Entre Planos above all, it is an exercise in balance — a space where architecture reveals itself through the relationship between solids and voids, designed to accompany everyday life with discretion, clarity, and continuity, while also nurturing the affectionate bond between pet and owner.
